1、报告题目:Introduction to Immersed Boundary Method Accelerated by GPU

报告人简介:Prof. Chao-An Lin’s research interests include flow physics and turbulence modeling, bio-medical fluid dynamics and development of efficient numerical methods and in particular the development of immersed boundary method, lattice Boltzmann method and simulations using multi-GPU cluster. Professor Lin is the associate fellow of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and is also members of the executive committees of Taiwan society of mechanical engineer. Dr. Lin was the recipient of Shila Mo memorial prize of UMIST (UK) in 1991, and was awarded the distinguished teacher award from ministry of education of Taiwan in 2008 and distinguished alumnus from Mechanical Engineering Department of National Chiao-Tung University in 2015. He also serves in different committees of international conferences (Parallel CFD, Turbulent Shear Flow Phenomenon, ERCOFTAC Symposium on Engineering Turbulence Modeling and Measurements, Asian Symposium on Computational Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow, Asia CFD). He edited special issues in Computers and Fluids, and Computers and Mathematics with Applications, and Energies. Prof. Lin is in the advisory board of Journal of Computational Mechanics and serves as associate editor of Journal of mechanics.

报告人简介:钱景常教授先后在台湾清华大学、University of Rhode Island及Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University获得本科、硕士及博士学位。钱教授在Numerical Modeling and Simulations for Advanced Energy Systems/Computational Methods and Algorithms for Fluid Dynamics and Heat transfer/Turbulence Flow/Nano/Micro-Fluidics及/Microscale Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer等领域内开展了较为完备且系统性的工作,钱教授有着丰富的教学经验,几十年教学经历当中教授了本科生和研究生课共计16门,在国际期刊上发表60余篇论文,专著1本。
3、报告题目:A multilayer concentric filter device to diminish clogging for separation of particles and microalgae based on size

报告人简介:Dr. Da-Jeng Yao is a Professor at Department of Power Mechanical Engineering (PME) and Institute of Nano-Engineering and Micro-Systems (NEMS), also an adjunct Professor at Department of Engineering and System Science (ESS), National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan. He received his MS from Department of Mechanical Engineering, Lehigh University in 1996, and Ph.D. from Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2001. There are more than 60 multidisciplinary projects running or completed under his research team with other organizations. More than 70 journal papers were published at top journal among this research field, including Biosensors and Bioelectronics, Bio-microfludics, Nanotechnology, Applied Energy, Journal of Micromechanics and Micro-engineering, and Lap on a chip, etc. He was awarded as ASME fellow since 2013.

报告人简介:蔡宏营教授先后在台湾清华大学获得本科、硕士及博士学位。蔡宏营教授研究方向较广,在Nano/Micro Fabrication, Diamond Film Deposition and its Application, Advanced Manufacturing, Image Processing及3D Printing等领域内开展了许多开创性的工作。在国际期刊上发表130余篇论文,著有专著1本。

报告人简介:陈玉彬教授在台湾大学获得本科及硕士学位后,于Georgia Institute of Technology获得博士学位。陈教授在国际期刊上共发表SCI论文90余篇,撰写专利9项,担任ACS Applied Materials and Interface/AIAA Journal of Thermophysics and Heat Transfer/AIP Advances/- Applied Optics/ Applied Physics Letters等多个期刊的审稿人,同时任多个期刊Journal of Mechanics/Smart Science编委成员。
