Brief Summary of China PhD Scholarship Plan 2015

1.      Number of Scholarships: 8000

2.      Sponsoring Period: 36 � 48 months

3.      Maximum funding per year: 30000 USD towards living maintenance based on local costs of living.

4.      A return flight ticket for international will also be provided.

5.      Leaning onto collaborative research between Chinese and Overseas universities. Students working on such projects will be sponsored for a period of 6 � 24 months.

6.      Application period: 20/03/2015 � 05/04/2015. Results are to be published in May 2015.

Applicants should normally meet the following criteria.

1.      A current Master or final year undergraduate student in a domestic university. If the applicant is already studying in an overseas university, he/she should be a Master student or a first year PhD student.

2.      By the time of this application is made, the applicant should have been made a PhD or (Master+PhD) offer by an overseas university on a fee waiver basis or equivalent.

3.      For domestic applicants, application should be made through their home universities where the applicants are currently studying. For those who are already studying in overseas universities, application should be made through the education departments of Chinese embassies.

4.      Should have IELTS test result >= 6.5 or have recognized equivalent certificates.
